After a failed attempt to pressurize JC Penney to fire Ellen Degeneres as their spoke person for being openly gay, American Family Association AFA and 1 Million Moms got themselves a new target…Archies Comics, asking Toys R Us to remove them from their shelves.
The latest issue includes a gay Kevin Keller, who first debuted 2 years back and sports a cover picture of him getting married to his male lover caught the attention of a thousand desperate housewives who call them 1 Million Moms.
Their letter to the retail chain Toys R Us urging them to remove the copies ends with ” Please remove all the same-sex “Just Married – Archie” comic books immediately from your shelves. My decision to shop in your stores depends on it.”
If only these retarded moms got a little bit of education and intellect, they would have realized what they just did. They just made the sale of this edition of Archie comic soar, thanks to the free publicity. The same way JC Penney got millions when these Moms chose to attack them.
Although they don’t seem to have learnt any lesson, what lesson have we learnt? If you want publicity, and do extensive marketing for your product or company without spending a dime, just grab these stupid housewives’ attention. They will do it for you and free of cost. You can sit back and enjoy the mulah! And they might bring you freshly baked cup-cakes too…
Each commercial of JC Penny and Ellen, I see as a tight slap in the faces of 1 Million Moms. Thats a lot of slaps……
One Million Moms were not pleased that JC Penny chose Ellen as their spokes person. Their reason… Ellen is gay and that is against traditional family values and JC Penny was wrong to make such a choice as the majority of shoppers there are Christians and people from traditional families. As a result of this, they will all stop shopping in JC Penny and the store will lose a lot of its customers.
When JC Penny did not back down, they posted a message on their facebook page which said:
“By jumping on the pro-gay bandwagon , JC Penny is attempting to gain a new target market and in the process will lose customers with traditional values that have been faithful to them over all these years. The majority at JC Penny shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there.”
And now here is Ellen’s answer to One Million Moms on her own show. Incidentally One Million Moms have 40,000 likes on their facebook page and Ellen has 9 million twitter followers. Just a background on One Million Moms… it’s under the umbrella of AFA (American Family Association) … yah I know…right?
One Million Moms organization which thrives under the umbrella of American Family Association AFA (nuf said) is outraged that JC Penny chose Ellen DeGeneres as their new spokesperson.
“Funny that JC Penney thinks hiring an open homosexual spokesperson will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families,” the million moms write on their website. “DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there.”
Where have you been…all you million stupid Moms? Definitely not in the kitchen.. coz that would mean we are sexists and you are oppressed. In kitty parties??? But whichever obscure place you have been residing for the last decade, you haven’t realized that “majority of JC Penny shoppers” have evolved to be more accepting of LGBTQ people.
And as for Ellen … her shows are watched by millions of viewers across the country. Quite a few more millions than the 1 million moms who can actually use their free time into something productive..like making cup cakes for their kids than rallying against corporates for something stupid like this.
As Reuters rightly analyzes DeGeneres’ daytime talk show has more viewers than the American Family Association has moms. Between January 16 and January 22, “Ellen” averaged 3.38 million viewers — or 2.38 million more people than the AFA has moms.
