Finally Crazy Eyes drops out (stops running) of the presidential campaign of 2012. She had the lowest number of votes among the republican candidates in Iowa yesterday.
Frothy Mix, who almost won was beaten by Romney by about 88 votes. They were neck to neck.
Michele Bachmann‘s senseless speech (ramble) is makes you wonder how she is even working in congress. She sounds uneducated, primitive, confused woman who should not be anywhere near politics. She should help her wife bake cookies for their kids. Her speach was littered with “socialism” 4 times and Obama 14 times.
The good thing…she misunderstood what God told her, but atleast she understood correctly what the people of IOWA wanted her to know. “GO AWAY.”
“Last night, the people of Iowa spoke with a very clear voice,” Bachmann said, “so I have decided to stand aside.” Finally some sensible talk from her
Sorry could not embed the video of her declaration of ending her campaign.
Maybe now she would be able to invest more time in trying to turn her husband (Lady Bird) Bachmann straight. That man is so far in the closet, he has reached Narnia.
Bradford Wells and Anthony John Makk have been legally married for 7 years. Although the state of Massachusetts acknowledges the marriage, the federal government does not. As a result, in spite of being married and having been together for 19 years, Anthony faces deportation to his native country Australia in a couple of weeks.
Apart from the obvious repercussions that they will have to face if Anthony is deported, there is another very crucial aspect they will have to deal with… and that is Bradford’s advanced AIDS condition. Anthony is the sole caregiver and if he is deported, Brad is going to lose his caregiver and he has no idea how he would go about with his daily life without help.
President Obama has already declared Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) as unconstitutional and stated, his administration will not defend its constitutionality in court cases. But till DOMA is repealed, it stays in effect and on the basis of the law, none of the same-sex marriages across the country are recognized by the federal government.
So Bradford’s love, affection, commitment to his partner has no value in the eyes of his country’s government just because the partner happens to be a man.
Chaplains in military bases claim that after DADT is put to rest, they would not be able to follow religion as they want to. They would be forced to not talk about homosexuality as an abomination as the Bible “clearly says” because now there would be openly LGBT people attending the sermons.
It has started to look to me that the entire Bible is about gays and lesbians. There is no other topics that have been discussed there. So if the main topic of Bible which apparently is “Hate, kill, torture, demonize, oppress, suppress, ridicule gays” cannot be discussed while praying then its like stifling the voices of honourable christians. Its taking away law abiding, patriotic christian americans’ right to follow their religion.
Is that really how it is? In a half hour or 1 hour sermon, the chaplains will HAVE to talk about homosexuality and its negative effect on mankind or else its not praying at all. That’s really sad. I can’t help but feel sorry for this Christians.
In a historic 65-31 votes at the Senate, the 17 years old DADT has been repealed.
The bigots fought as much as they could to stop it. They lied, talked rubbish, lost track and started all over again. Their hammering was relentless. Their hammering just forged us into being stronger and more determined.
Senator John McCain made his plea and talked about limbless marines. I have still no idea how that was relevant to the repeal of DADT. He mumbled and grumbled and went on and on. But the end result is here for all to see.
Senator Reid, a personal THANK YOU for all that you have done, and to all the other Senators who voted ‘AYE’ today.
I was overwhelmed with joy. I cried. I am not even an american. I don’t live in america.
But those LGBT men and women in uniform, they are one of us. Thats why it was a personal victory. A victory that was long over due.
When I started watching live streaming of the senate voting today, I had no idea I would be so emotional. Looks like we gays have more compassion than our straight counterparts.
Now starts an era of ASK and TELL and be proud for what you are.
And a personal THANK YOU is in order for President Barack Obama for seeing this through.
America you just reclaimed a part of your former glory. Well done.
Merry Christmas everyone and a VERY HAPPY and GAY NEW YEAR.
